Occult Drama and Popcorn

The occult community is constantly arguing about something – every day it’s something different, and I have no idea what it’s all about. The volume of bickering and overload makes it entirely impossible to follow.
Drama — lots and lots of drama. We cause it, we are its victims, we hate it, and we love it, all at the same time. From arguments to snarky comments, hijacked threads, social stalking, and cryptic posts; the list is endless.
Maybe you are friends with some person, and this person happens to be an enemy of mine or even a simple argument or misunderstanding with group Admin on a chat is enough to turn that whole group against you. Some people will even offer incentives, make promises to anyone who will give information for a simple comment which was “insulting,” so they can attack the person who made it. Even a simple “LOL” can start World War III. I wish I were a fly on the wall, just watching these people every day. I’m willing to bet their whole life is what happens on FaceBook: who said what and to whom, gossip, pointless posts.
I’m not high enough for this particular brand of bullshittery. The whole drama almost always starts with armchair practitioners. “I’m right; you are wrong!!”
GROW UP. It’s not acompetition.
Observe the drama, don’t make more; BE AWARE OF IT. And If you have something to say to an individual, don’t post it on your timeline or in groups. Have the guts, the spine, the cojones – whatever – to call, email, or message that person directly, because those of us who are genuinely committed to this path are sick and tired from your continual drama.
Think about it. When people’s lives are about nothing more than stirring up the shit pot, when do you have time to read, research, practice your magick, or to communicate with the Demonic when your whole life is about creating drama?
Wake up, you are on the internet, a member of a social network, or maybe admin of a random occult group, one of the thousands that are out there. You are not that important. Deal with it. Accept it and move on.
Instead of creating drama all the time, seek for the Gnosis. Seek for the Knowledge that will help you on your path. Improve your skills in Magick by practicing. The drama will not give you anything from the above.
Drama kills your magick.
Drama kills personal gnosis.
Drama kills personal alchemy
My point? If you see dirty laundry between people on Facebook, don’t engage. Grab your popcorn and enjoy the show if you want. But do not engage. Stupidity can and will smash you to the lowest level where in the end, it wins. Stupidity wins – not you and not your “audience.
Isn’t your sanity worth it? Mine is, that’s for sure. Life is too short to allow drama any place where you have control. People use drama to deflect from their own shortcomings because deep down inside they know their lives suck. Instead of dealing with their problems, they create and hide behind the soap operas that are their lives, that define them.
I choose real life, with all it’s good times, bad times, hard times, and blessings, and the deep spiritual growth that comes from it.
Again. My sanity is worth it. Life’s too short to have drama anywhere that you have control. Deal with things in real life. And as a very good friend of mine told me, “It’s a good thing is that the “cracking” becomes bigger and bigger, so we can separate from them!”
Keep that in your mind!
Awesome post!
Would be great if you took your own sorry ass advice Rena.
There are those of us who care, we live, we learn, we grow. And we ascend. Thank you for your input.
