Ethics and Morals In Magic
Rituals and spells for revenge, curses, hexes, to cause illness and even death. These are the most sinister and “diabolical” uses of magic. How do you feel about cursing someone? Would you ever force another to love you via a black magic love spell? Would you ever consider using magic to cause a sickness or disease…….or even take a life? If so what is your reasoning?
Some people believe by using black magic means to get what you want. They use magic to cause a change in their lives, to attract the things they want. They use their will to affect the physical world. That being the case, if I am the master of my own destiny, if I control my fate then it is my will that should be done. And if it is my will to cause a cheating ex to be plagued with some sort of sickness or my former boss that fired me to go bankrupt or to cause the man who raped my sister to die a horrible death then so be it. It is my will and it shall be done, despite any karmic repercussions.
However, one cannot honestly say what they would do in a situation until they experience it. Very easy to say you wouldn’t try to harm the person that raped your sister/wife/mother/daughter until it actually happens. Who wouldn’t want to seek revenge? Forgiveness in extreme circumstances like that generally takes years. You harm my family and I’m coming after you (be it physically or magically), and an army will be behind me.
Is it moral or ethical? Maybe. Depends on who you ask. Me, as a Demonolatress, I’ve come to learn that a curse is only appropriate when free will is taken or threatened, but only after all physical/mundane options have been depleted and there’s no other way. Because a curse is a breaking of free will. And revenge is fine, as you’re getting revenge for having your free will broken, such as someone robbing your house. Especially when your trust and love is betrayed. This does NOT include being cheated on; not for your lover nor the other culprit. Lovers aren’t objects to be stolen. However, revenge is fine; especially when you feel they’ll do the same to others in the future.
Personally, I don’t like the idea of (the popular view of) karma. People think it’s a righteous force that gives good to those who do ethically good things and gives bad to those who do ethically bad things.
It’s not so simple! It’s nothing more than cause and effect. Nothing more! All of our acts have effects. That’s all. It’s not about good things and bad things. It’s neutral. I also believe that good and bad are human concepts instilled in us by society and culture. I think that if you harm someone you will pay a negative price not because it upsets the universe but because deep down your subconscious (call it what you will) feels it wasn’t proper.
On the other hand, the balance must be kept. You kill someone, so why not take their life as well. Equal payment. Anything less upsets the balance. That’s why I advocate using black magic just as much as white magic. Practicing only one side upsets your personal balance. How else can you keep the balance? They say two wrongs don’t make a right. Very true. But the second wrong pays for the first.
Everyone who has interest in magic also has different views on how magic has to be practiced, but as to my view, I only need to use magic to better my life but only on positive things, however, there are some incidents which can be beyond every human control most especially if you can just say a word and then happens.
It’s up to you how to use magic.
And more: there are no colors, no rules, no gods, no traditions… no ethics.
Your thoughts, your morals, your decisions. It’s up to you.
